How to Make Your Candle Burn Better (and Last Longer)

You found a scent you love. Now let’s make sure you get every last bit of goodness out of it.
A few simple habits can make a big difference in how evenly your candle burns, how well it throws fragrance and how long it lasts.
Trim that wick.
Before each burn, trim your wick to about ¼ inch. A wick that’s too long can create a larger flame, soot and an uneven burn.
But don't burn it all day.
We know. You want your house to smell amazing forever. But candles need a break too. Aim for about 3–4 hours at a time. It's ok for you to not get a full melt pool on the first couple of burns with our candles but more on that later!
Want fragrance going longer? Try a wax melt.
Paired with an electric wax warmer, wax melts are a great option when you want to enjoy your favorite fragrance for longer stretches without keeping a candle burning.
Keep it out of the breeze.
Fans, vents and open windows can cause an uneven flame and uneven burn. Find your candle a cozy spot away from drafts.
